Our History

BROCK was established on July 1, 2020 when Ben Brock acquired JBK Enterprises, Inc. (JBK). JBK was founded by Jack Kibler in 1990 to supply equipment and parts to the hot mix asphalt plant owners. Shortly after the acquisition BROCK announced it was also offering on-site asphalt plant services including equipment dismantling, relocation, and installation services.

BROCK has assembled a leadership team with over 300 years of combined successful experience in the hot mix asphalt equipment industry.

Each BROCK leadership team member has a reputation built on supplying quality products, providing outstanding service, and building great relationships. The team will remain true to those three things at BROCK. Ben has worked in the hot mix asphalt equipment industry since 1993. His father, Dr. J. Don Brock, was the founder, president and CEO of Astec Industries, Inc. from 1972 to 2013. Ben served in various roles with Astec from 1993 until 2019, when he left the company after serving as president and CEO for over five years. Prior to his role as president and CEO, Ben was the head of two different Astec divisions that supplied equipment to the hot mix asphalt industry. Both divisions were successful, which allowed Ben to move up in the company. 

In November 2020, just five months after the acquisition of JBK, the company found it was rapidly outgrowing the capacity of its Georgetown location. After looking at several options for more capacity the company decided to move to a new site in Chattanooga, Tennessee. BROCK began the process of moving the entire company to its new location in early April 2021. The first official full day at the site was May 3, 2021.
